Colombia - Pan American plans

Ive spent two weeks in the Colombian jungle on the border with Panama with farmers that literally lived in the so-called Golden Triangle, much desired by multinationals.  Theyve been violently displaced from their lands by Colombian Paramilitaries and the government army in 1997. Horrible atrocities occurred, and they had to flee like so many other forced displaced people in Colombia that end up in slums, if not murdered, just for the sake of economical interest. They resisted though, and started a law-case to win back their lands, which they did. They moved back in 2000 and sought for the support of NGOs to protect them and they started the Peace community of Cacarica and built a fence which protects what…
