I would like to recommend two particularly different forms of resistance. The first is a university collaboration which tracks internet censorship around the world. They discover the type of things which are being blocked, the processes, and the equipment manufacturers etc http://opennet.net However, they have, in some ways, crossed the boundary of simple observation in creating a technique that allows Resistance of any description to bypass the censorship. http://psiphon.civisec.org/ and http://www.citizenlab.org
The second is an individual who has set out to create a different economic model, not simply on paper, but in a working environment to revolutionize Africa. He has a village where they are implementing his theories and is a dedicated and fascinating individual: http://www.workingvillages.org/ruzizi-project.html
These are two stories…
